It is useful to apply what we have learnt so far to a real life scenario. A particularly relevant topic to pursue is ‘fast’ fashion; as it is a phenomenon most of us have been swept up in, save from a saintly few. Fast fashion is a contemporary term referring to fashion that has been produced quickly and cheaply, and at low cost for the consumer. A 'mind-spinningly supersonic' supply chain now allows fast fashion giants like Zara to transform an intangible design on paper to the hands of the consumer in a mere week.

This transformation of traditional consumption cycles sees Americans now consuming to the tune of $400 billion.
